Philippe Clement: "I don't expect us to possess the ball 60% of the time in the match against Dynamo: we don't need it"

Head coach of Scottish Rangers Philip Clement told what he expects from his team's matches against Dynamo Kyiv in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League, which will take place today in Lublin.

Philippe Clement

"We play against a team that I know very well, because I met with it 4 or 5 years ago (in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League season-2019/20 Belgian "Brugge", managed by Clement, managed to pass Dynamo - 1:0, 3:3 - ed.). I see many players from that Dynamo squad, so we can say that the current team has been building for several years.

It will be really difficult against Dynamo, because this team is strong when it possesses the ball and makes good combinations. It's a different level, a different style of play, and it's really interesting for us as a challenge.

I don't expect that in the upcoming match we will possess the ball 60 percent of the time, as it was in the recent match against Hearts in the Scottish championship: we don't need it, we came here for the result, not only for the ball," Clement said at the pre-match press conference.
