Bayer Leverkusen head coach Xabi Alonso assessed his team's chances of winning the championship in the 2024/2025 season.
"I don't think it makes sense to talk about what will happen in May. We are talking about what will happen in August. The better we start, the better we can finish.
We have laid the foundation, but it will probably not be enough. We need to add something, we need to refresh ourselves. Last season's level will probably not be enough. We need to develop and get better," Alonso said, as quoted by Kicker.
