Polish referees who were supposed to work on VAR in the Dynamo vs. Rangers match arrested by police for stealing a road sign

Polish referees Bartosz Frankowski and Tomasz Musial, who were supposed to work on VAR in today's Champions League 3rd qualifying round match between Dynamo and Rangers, were arrested by police for stealing a road sign.

According to Tvp.pl, the men were drunk and stole the road sign.

"Around 01:40, we received a report that three men were carrying a road sign down the street. Police officers were sent to the scene and found the men intoxicated. The violators had more than 1.5 ppm of alcohol in their blood. They were taken to a medical sobering-up center," the press officer of the Main Department of the Municipal Police in Lublin said in a statement.

UEFA, in turn, has already responded to this scandal by replacing these referees. Tomasz Kwiatkowski and Pawel Malec will now work the match.
