Artem Fedetsky: "Dynamo will win. 2:0"

Today, in the qualifying round of the Champions League, Dynamo Kyiv will play Glasgow Rangers in Lublin, Poland. Former Ukrainian national team player Artem Fedetsky said he could help the nominal hosts win:

Artem Fedetsky

- I consider Dynamo to be the favorite in this match. And not only because the Kyiv team has more game practice. The Ukrainian club now has a more balanced squad, a long bench, and leaders who can impose their game on the opponent.

- At the start of the current cycle, Dynamo made a strong impression in the matches against Serbian Partizan, but today's opponent, Glasgow Rangers, is more skilled and plays in a more aggressive style.

- I am convinced that Dynamo players are well aware of this, and therefore the attitude will be appropriate. After all, in recent matches with Partizan, it was at its best. I am very impressed with this and here is a great merit of the Kyiv coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi.

As for the style of the Scots, they try to act quickly, tightly and impose a forceful manner on their opponents. That's why it's important to be unyielding on every patch of the field and avoid breaking the rules to minimize the danger in standard positions. The best "recipe" here is to adopt the game from the bottom and use the entire width of the field.

- You have emphasized that the British are dangerous in the fight for high balls, and Kyiv will be without stopper Dyachuk, who is strong on the second floor.

- I hope that Shovkovsky will choose the players who will best fight against the Scots' trump cards. Nevertheless, Kyiv have a good header in Popov, young Mikhavko and Bilovar, one of them will definitely play today. The experience of goalkeeper Bushchan should also come in handy. However, I am convinced that Dynamo will try to make sure that the main events unfold at the visitors' goal. Dynamo's squad is more well-rounded, with enough players who can act creatively, and the Scots, who are used to more straightforward football, do not like it.

- Will Dynamo win?

- It won't be easy, but I'm inclined to think that Kyiv will win 2-0.
