Dynamo U-19 head coach Ihor Kostiuk commented on the away draw with Veres (1-1) in the 2nd round of the youth championship.
- We lacked concentration, first of all, when controlling the ball. We failed to make quick transitions, we were not ready to lose the ball - the defenders did not concentrate well. That's why we had chances near our goal and conceded a goal. Also in the first half, there were episodes when we lost the ball in simple situations, losing in a one-on-one fight.
- Compared to the match in Oleksandriia, there was a longer bench, and the players came on as substitutes in the second half. Did they enhance the game?
- The players are still not in good shape after illness. We hoped that they would add speed and aggression at the opponent's goal, but they failed to realize their chances.
- Before the season, the team won an international tournament in the Czech Republic. Are your players ready for the season, to play at a distance?
- In principle, they are, but you can see for yourself that we played three days later on the fourth, and those players who were sick did not have time to recover and gain strength, which we saw on the field.
- Matches with Veres are different. Last season, there was a draw and a crushing victory. Is the U19 Championship not about stability?
- I have already said that when the U-21 championship was removed, the teams began to improve their personnel selection, playing players who really deserve to play, and not just do a number on the field. That's why every game is a tense affair, a struggle for results and points.
