Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino may take over the US national team.
According to Fox Sports, Pochettino has held several meetings with representatives of the US Soccer Federation and is now the main contender for the position of the national team coach.
Previously, the list of likely candidates also included Jurgen Klopp, Gareth Southgate, and Thomas Tuchel.
As a reminder, the United States, along with Canada and Mexico, will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
