Vyacheslav Bohodelov, former goalkeepers coach of Dynamo and PFC Oleksandriya, has spoken about the sad realities of the lower leagues of Ukrainian soccer. According to him, the clubs are unable to provide their players with even minimal conditions.
"At least half of the teams have non-football conditions. Everyone is used to say: 'Oh, footballers do nothing and get a huge salary!' However, it is also labor. People train every day, are constantly at games and training camps, because of which they are not with their families.
Salaries in some clubs are 10-12 thousand hryvnias. Nowadays security guards in supermarkets get more. It can not be like that. How can you demand something from a person if you can't even feed him? A man went to one team. They put him in a kindergarten, where there is no food, no light.... He says to me: "I go to the village, some grandmother pours me food from a pot, and this is what I eat". What kind of a second league team is this?
Presidents declare: "We want to! In seven years we will play in the Champions League!". First give people normal conditions, and then they will work. Five years ago, I explained to the guys: "You have to be patient. Not immediately you will get on a rich bus, not immediately the administrator will carry suitcases with uniforms for you". And now I can't deceive them, because this is the life that we need now. Why is there a big excitement in "Polesie" now? Because there is everything there and the players can be demanded. I am very interested in how they will play this year," Bohodelov said in an interview with theUkrainian Football.
