"I am proud to put on the Fiorentina shirt and represent Florence. I am grateful to everyone.

I would like to thank the technical staff. This year was very different from the previous ones. I decided to take a vacation, but continued to train without the team. I had to be at my best, and when the news about Fiorentina came, I had clear thoughts.

They have great fans and a great history. It was an easy decision because I didn't want to retire. Fiorentina had great players and goalkeepers. I want to be part of the club's history, help young players and have a winning mentality.

I received many offers, but I wanted to play in Italy. Prade and Ferrari made my decision easier. The negotiations were easy, Fiorentina was the best option.

I want to help the club in everything. I am here to give 100% and improve the team. That's what I can promise. Serie A is one of the best leagues in the world and I can't wait to meet everyone. We have to focus on the game against Parma right away. We can dream of titles and achieve our goals," David was quoted as saying by Violanews.
