Oleg Kuznetsov: "Rangers are a raw team, and in Glasgow they will be waiting for Dynamo to make a mistake

Former Dynamo Kyiv defender Oleh Kuznetsov has told what he expects from his former team's return match with Scottish side Rangers in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League to be held today in Glasgow.

- " Before the first match, I was 70 percent sure of Dynamo's victory ," said Oleg Volodymyrovych, " I considered our team the favorite in this pair and expected that everything would actually be decided in Lublin. Now I can weigh the chances of the teams as 50-50, however, with a small advantage of Kyiv for overall success.

- What was your impression of the Rangers game? You once played for this Scottish club and can probably tell how much the style of football of the club from Glasgow has changed...

- I didn't follow the changes in this team in detail all the time I left Rangers. I watched a few of their matches against Celtic last season. After the first match against Dynamo, I can say that this is a raw team, physically unprepared. Of course, this is most likely due to the beginning of the season. But it's not the only thing. Rangers have a lot of new players who gesture to each other during the game, which is quite atypical. They still have a poor understanding.

In addition, many people expected real Scottish football from Rangers, but they are trying to play differently because their coach is Belgian and is trying to instill a European style in the team. Another thing is that the level of Rangers players, to be honest, is not impressive - there are no famous names there.

- So, the score of the match in Lublin between Dynamo and Rangers is not fair?

- Every result is fair. After scoring their goal, the Kyiv team sat down, and this indicates that they do not have enough strength for the whole game. It is important that Dynamo are better than Rangers as a team. And, besides, we have someone to score. Unlike the Scots, Dynamo has good attacking players.

- What do you expect from the match in Glasgow?

- A tough game that will go down to the wire. I think Rangers will not last the full 90 minutes again. In addition, the Scots will not run forward thoughtlessly. "Dynamo will have to take their chances with higher individual skills. By the way, it may come down to extra time. In general, I am an optimist, and I believe that our team will advance to the next stage of the Champions League.
