Miroslav Stupar on the sending off of Rangers' player: "The referee was nearby and was convinced of his rightness"

"There is a lot of struggle in modern football. And players who already have one warning on their record need to be careful in their actions.

The first yellow card was more obvious to the Brazilian legionnaire, who rudely attacked a Dynamo player in the other half of the field. No questions asked. In the second episode, the referee decided that Zhefta, after winning a riding duel with Karavaev, had contact with the Dynamo player, for which he was punished with another warning. The Scots considered the referee's decision controversial, but the referee was not far from the duel on the second floor and was convinced of his rightness. The VAR referee supported him in this.

Of course, the Scots were offended, because this removal affected the course of events in the match. With the majority, Dynamo seized the initiative and pressed the opponent. But this is the hosts' problem. They did not take advantage of their favorable moments, and their goalkeeper is to blame for the first goal they conceded," Stupar said.
