The famous Polish journalist Piotr Slonka told about the strong and weak qualities of Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Anton Tsarenko, who recently moved on loan to Lechia from Gdansk.

When the war started and many players left Dynamo, Tsarenko got a chance from Mircea Lucescu, started to appear in the main Dynamo squad and showed more or less the same that he showed in the youth teams. He transferred his boldness and technicality to the matches of the first team.
His disadvantage is his short stature. When Tsarenko goes out with children who take the players on the field, sometimes he is shorter than them. At first glance it seems that against two-meter strong defenders he has no chance, but the reality is different. It obviously bothers him, but he doesn't think about it. Tsarenko applies his technique perfectly well without hand-to-hand combat. And even when it comes to serious one-on-one combat, he's not always at a disadvantage.
In addition to his height, Tsarenko's disadvantage is that he rarely shoots on goal. He may be in the optimal position for such a shot, but he almost always looks for another option. I don't think he will score many goals for Lechia, but he can control the ball and play passing. I expect that to be his strength.
Tsarenko can play in different positions. He is versatile in this regard. If the team plays with two "10s", Tsarenko acts on the left flank - right under the striker. He can also play as a "10" or as a false forward. It is clear that he will not be a terrific sprinter, but he will cope with his tasks without it," Slonka said lechia.gda.pl.
