The famous British singer Ed Sheeran has become a minority owner of the newcomer to the Premier League, Ipswich, the Tractor Boys' press service reports.
According to the BBC, Sheeran acquired the relevant share of shares through his company Gamechanger 20 Ltd. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed. It is known that Sheeran now owns 1.4 shares in the club.
"I'm really excited about acquiring a small stake in a football club from my hometown. Every football fan dreams of owning the club they support, so I am grateful for this opportunity," Sheeran said.
