Erik ten Hag's team won a difficult victory thanks to the only goal by newcomer Joshua Zirkseye. After coming on as a substitute in the second half, the Dutch forward scored an accurate shot in the 87th minute to give his team the victory.

As a reminder, United acquired Zirkzei this summer from Bologna for €40 million.
