Injury will not prevent Trubin from playing for the national team, - sports doctor

Sports doctor Dmytro Babeliuk spoke about the details of the injury to Benfica and Ukraine goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin.

"Trubin was diagnosed with an ankle sprain. Will this affect the goalkeeper's participation in games for the national team? In short, no.

Traditionally, a torn ligament and a "full bouquet" in the ankle throws a player out for about 4-5 weeks. In this case, Anatoliy was diagnosed with just a sprain. On the plus side, he was able to finish the game amid discomfort.

It can be predicted that the goalkeeper will be given a week to recover and could potentially miss Benfica's next match. But the first match of the national team is a little less than three weeks away, so Anatoliy should be fully ready for matches under Rebrov's leadership.

Often, in general, sprains are not given enough attention and players continue to train and play with the joint taped tightly. I hope this will not be Anatoliy's case and no one will force him. A natural and high-quality recovery should not take too long," Babeliuk wrote on Telegram.
