Former midfielder and captain of Dynamo Kyiv Serhiy Sydorchuk, who now plays for Belgian side Westerlo, shared some of his observations on Instagram.
"I notice how approaches to training are changing. If earlier an individual warm-up before training was something special, now 80% of players warm up in the gym on their own before training. And they come to the team's training sessions ready to work.
Someone has a personal set of exercises, someone works on their problems individually, others do exercises for the core muscles or work with rollers, and many follow the recommendations of their personal trainers and rehabilitation specialists.
Preparation for training and warm-ups help to avoid injuries and increase the efficiency of the training process. And this does not mean that there is no warm-up at all in team training, but it is simply improved. And if it improves the results, it's good," Sergiy wrote.
