The French club Paris Saint-Germain may be expelled from the Champions League due to non-payment of debts to former player Kylian Mbappe, Le Monde reports.
According to the source, the footballer appealed to the French professional football league and UEFA for non-payment of 55 million euros under his old contract with the Parisians. If found guilty, the Parisian club could face a ban on transfers and revocation of its UEFA license, which would lead to exclusion from the Champions League.
The striker played for Paris Saint-Germain from 2017 to 2024. Together with the club, he became the French champion six times, won the Coupe de France 4 times, the Super Cup three times, and the French League Cup twice. This summer, he moved to Real Madrid.
