"Bayer" spectacularly extended their winless streak in the Bundesliga to 35 matches

The German championship of the 2024/25 season started with a real soccer show. Last Friday, Borussia Mönchengladbach hosted Bayer Leverkusen in the opening match of the championship.

By the end of the first half, the visitors led 0:2, and it seemed that they would not let the victory slip away. However, after the break Borussia managed to get back, and five minutes before the end of the main time the score was 2:2. Nevertheless, Bayer did the unbelievable and snatched the victory in the 11th (!) minute of the second half.

We would like to add that with this victory Bayer extended their winless streak in the Bundesliga to 35 matches. The last time Leverkusen lost in the national championship on May 27, 2023, in the final round of the season before last, in a match with Bochum (0:3). The record holder for the longest winless streak in the Bundesliga is Bayern Munich (53 matches).
