Players of Kryvyirogorsk Kryvbas refused to shake hands with the referees before the match with Betis in the 4th round of the Conference League qualification.
The fact that the main judge of the meeting was Arda Kardeszler, who in the spring served sparring between the national teams of Russia and Serbia.
Earlier, the leadership of Kryvbas sent a letter to UEFA with a request to replace the Turkish referee, but the governing body of European soccer decided not to make changes. As a result, the players of the team from Kryvyi Rih refused the traditional handshake, expressing their condemnation of the Turkish referee.
The captain of Kryvbas Yuriy Vakulko also did not shake hands with the referees before the draw of the sides of the field and ball entry, but greeted the captain of Betis Nabil Fekir.
The first match of the 4th round of the Conference League qualification ended with a 0:2 defeat for Kryvbas against Betis, the return game will be held on August 29 in Seville, Spain.
