Marina Pušić: "Shakhtar gave Oleksandriya a victory, it's hard to believe that we lost this game"

Shakhtar's head coach Marino Pusic commented on the defeat to Oleksandriya in the Ukrainian Premier League matchday 4.

"I can tell you a lot about the game, but it won't make much sense. To some extent, it's hard for me to believe that we lost this game. I tend to believe that we gave this victory to our opponent to a greater extent. I am disappointed, the team is disappointed. It will be very difficult to summarize this game. It is unacceptable to lose in such a way. This is not the style of play that we pursue. It's terrible. Of course, terrible is all I could say about today's game.

The game was influenced by one moment - it was the first goal of our opponent. We played great, I was completely satisfied with our performance until the first goal. I was confident that we could come back into the game and play the way we did in the first minutes. But we conceded the second goal, which was incredible in its execution - from a very long distance. With the style we played with, we can say that we asked for problems, for the adversity we had to face later.

After 2:2, we wanted to change the game, to turn it around, but we continued to turn it not in our favor, to create chances for the opponent out of nothing. It was difficult on a mental level. We gave this victory to our opponent. I am very upset. Such things cannot happen to us. We will think about it a lot," Pušić told UPL.TV.
