Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca spoke about the goals that he and his team have in the current English Championship campaign.

"Our goal now is to make the players better and understand what we can improve. The owners just asked us to raise the level of the players and the team - we are not required to fight for the Premier League or the Champions League this season.

I feel lucky with the team and the players, but not lucky because I'm not required to win the Premier League or secure a Champions League spot. This club won the Champions League three years ago, but then finished 12th and then took 6th place. So it's unrealistic to fight for the championship this season," the Evening Standard quoted Maresca as saying.
