It's official. "Arsenal has signed Spain midfielder Mikel Merino

"Arsenal announced on its official website the transfer of Real Sociedad and Spain midfielder Mikel Merino.

The 28-year-old midfielder signed a four-year contract with the Gunners until June 2028. The transfer is estimated at approximately 32 million euros plus bonuses.

"Merino is a player who will bring us new quality with his experience and versatility. He has played at a high level both at club and international level for many seasons. Mikel will significantly strengthen our team with his technical qualities as well as his strong and positive character.

As we all saw this summer, Mikel is also a winner, he performed well at the Euros, helping Spain win the tournament. We are delighted to welcome Mikel and his family to the club and look forward to working with him," commented Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta.
