Austrian Salzburg head coach Pepijn Leinders summarized the results of his team's two-match standoff with Dynamo Kyiv (2-0, 1-1) in the playoff round of the Champions League qualification.
"What we achieved in these four games is just something unbelievable, on the verge of madness. But I told the team right away before this confrontation that getting into the Champions League has to be earned with your work and play.
Everyone saw how strong Dynamo is. Therefore, I have to compliment the players of our team even more for the fact that they coped with such an opponent. They really deserved this qualification, they gave everything for it.
Now we want to play against the best teams, because the better the teams are, the more you learn," Leinders said after the return match against Dynamo (1-1) yesterday in Salzburg.
