Football expert Andriy Shakhov commented on the outcome of the second match of the Champions League playoff qualifying round between Salzburg and Dynamo (1:1).
"One can only guess how Dynamo Kyiv would look like in the Champions League with its new format, but with this game, I am sure they will be able to regain the championship title for themselves and the capital of the country.
Just like in the first match against Salzburg, our vice-champion looked no worse than the Austrians. In many ways, even better. However, this was still not enough to win the sum of the two matches, or even to win the reporting game.
What prevented you this time? Everything is the same. However, now the realization has been supplemented by its derivative value - accuracy. 19 shots on goal per match is an excellent indicator, even if we take into account that half of them were taken from outside the penalty area. But out of these almost two dozen shots, only one, the one that Kyiv scored, went into the goal. The rest were either blocked or inaccurate.
