Patrice Evra: "MU bosses bought Pogba to humiliate Ferguson"

Former France defender Patrice Evra has spoken out about midfielder Paul Pogba's move to Manchester United in 2016.

Paul Pogba

"Manchester United brought Pogba back because they wanted to humiliate Alex Ferguson. I told Pogba not to come back because he wanted to go to Real Madrid and the Madrid club wanted him, but Florentino Perez didn't want to pay the money.

His agent called Manchester United and they signed him without telling me. The club was happy because they were selling T-shirts, Pogba was very popular with the kids-it was about commerce," Goal quotes Evra as saying.

It is worth reminding that in 2016, Paul Pogba moved from Juventus to Manchester United for a record-breaking 105 million euros at the time.
