Dynamo U-19 head coach Ihor Kostiuk commented on his team's home match with Cherkasy LNZ, in which the White and Blues won with a score of 10-0.
- We set the players up to play aggressively. We understand that there are no easy matches now, so we set up well, realized our chances and created many more opportunities to score. It's good that we got three points before the break due to national team matches and scored a lot of goals. In general, the game was good, we controlled everything. We gave all the players a chance to play so that they could get a lot of workload and practice. As a result, we naturally won.
- Did you rotate the starting lineup compared to the previous match, or are you satisfied with the players' performance?
- There are nuances, but the score speaks for itself. We will analyze the moments, because in the final stage with the score 5:0 and 6:0, we did not switch to defense very quickly and there were episodes when the guys did not finish their chances. This needs to be corrected.
- In general, were you satisfied with the realization?
- Yes, we scored a lot of goals, but we need to play even more aggressively and better in the finishing phase, because in the second half there were many moments when we opened the flanks well, but the players did not get to their areas where they needed to be, and this is worrying.
- Last season, you also won both matches against LNZ with confidence, has this team changed much since then?
- We need to look not at how the opponent plays, but at ourselves, at what we do and how aggressive we are. It is clear that the opponent has a lot of players born in 2007 and 2008, but we also have some. I think that the LNZ team is still in the process of formation.
- The pause associated with national team matches is starting, what are your plans for this time?
- 10 of our players were supposed to go to the national teams, but Ishchenko got injured, so there are only 9. They will also get international experience, which is good for us. The rest of the guys will have two days off. We are going to train on Tuesday, and on Saturday we will play a control game with the Polissia team (Stavky) and wait for our national teams and continue to prepare for the league matches.
- How serious is Danylo Ishchenko's injury?
- His back is a bit tweaked, so he will recover. We will consult with the doctors about when he will be able to return to the general group.
