Ukraine goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin spoke about the team's preparations for the 2024/2025 Nations League matches against Albania and the Czech Republic.
"My health is fine now. There are minor consequences of a recent injury, but this does not prevent me from training and playing. I'm recovering a little bit. Today's training session cannot be called easy. At the end it was very hard, I had to withstand powerful blows, so it was definitely a full-fledged lesson for the goalkeepers.
After Euro 2024, everyone had a negative aftertaste, but time goes on. A new tournament, new matches... So you need to forget the bad things. I personally arrived at the national team in a good mood, saw the guys. The national team is always a great positive, so I was really looking forward to this training camp. When you are in Portugal and do not speak your native language, it is sometimes very difficult.
The League of Nations is another chance to reach the World Cup, so the tournament cannot be seen as a passing game, like friendly games. The fact that all our opponents are participants in Euro 2024 is very cool. National team matches are a slightly different level, and it will be difficult with any opponent. This is a great opportunity to play against such teams and show our level," said Anatoliy Trubin.
It will be recalled that in September, the national team of Ukraine will play two matches in Group B1 of the 2024/2025 Nations League in Prague. On September 7, in the 1st round, the blue and yellows will host Albania at the Epet Arena, and on September 10, they will play an away match against the Czech Republic at the Eden Arena.
