Eduardo Guerrero: "I have to score twice against Lazio. And not only to him!"

The newcomer to Dynamo Kyiv, Panamanian forward Eduardo Guerrero, gave his first interview as a player of the White and Blues on the club's YouTube channel.

- I am very happy to join Dynamo Kyiv. I know that this club has a great history, so I am very motivated after this move.

Signing a contract with Dynamo gives me reason to be proud. This transfer was formalized at the end of the transfer window.

"Dynamo made me understand that I am needed here to help the team achieve its goals. Now I am with you and I am looking forward to the first match.

- Did you know that Dynamo was actively following you?

- There was interest in me even before the America's Cup. But the most important thing is that all these rumors have become a reality and now I am here. Now I only think about my game and try to score as many goals as possible.

- Could you recall how you found out about Dynamo's offer?

- You know that there are always plenty of news and rumors around player transfers. When I heard about Kyiv, I said: "Oh, Dynamo! I want to play here".

- For the fans to get to know you better, try to describe yourself in a few words.

- I am a simple guy who focuses on his career. I am really happy that we managed to agree on a move to Dynamo. The simplest thing I can say about myself is that I love my family and football.

- What can you say about your best qualities as a football player?

- My main virtue is scoring goals in other people's net.

- What would you like to improve in yourself?

- This is an interesting question. I will say that I have a lot to work on. Therefore, I will work on myself at Dynamo.

- There is an important challenge ahead - the Europa League. Dynamo has many strong rivals. What can you say about these teams?

- I can't say anything about our Europa League rivals because I've never played against them. But we have a good team and we have good chances for a good performance.

- Before signing with Dynamo, you said you would score twice against Lazio.

- I will do my best. And not only against Lazio.

- You chose the 39th playing number. Can you tell us why?

- I use this number because I made my debut under it in Panama. Since then, I have always worn it.

- In our blitz, you said that your favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo. Do you associate yourself with him in any way?

- No, I don't. I am not yet like Cristiano Ronaldo. But I am trying to progress. Since moving to Ukraine, I'm trying to show my best.

- You know very well about the situation in Ukraine, about the war unleashed by Russian terrorists, but you decided to stay here...

- I was really afraid of something. But I faced a similar situation in Israel. So I was ready. Now the situation is not the best, but I hope things will improve.

- Now the UPL matches are held with spectators. How can you recognize Ukrainian fans?

- I have heard many good stories about Dynamo fans. Now, of course, the situation is such that it is difficult to feel that atmosphere because the stadium cannot be filled. But the situation should improve soon.

- What do you know about the Dynamo club and its history, its alumni players?

- I know that Dynamo has trained many top players. Now we have Andriy Yarmolenko, he is one of them.

- You are the first Panamanian player in Dynamo's history. Is this a reason for you to be proud?

- It is an honor for me to be the first Panamanian player in Dynamo's history. It is important for me and for my career. For us, Panamanians, it is difficult to move to this level in another country. That's why I'm happy with this stage of my career.

- What can you promise Dynamo fans?

- I can promise that we will have a great season and do our best to bring the Trophy to the capital of Ukraine.
