Today, on September 6, the youth national team of Ukraine will play its next match in the Euro 2025 (U-21) qualifying tournament against Serbia.
Since September 2, the blue and yellows have been purposefully preparing for official matches in Riga, where they will host the Serbs. Midfielder Oleh Fedor and defender Artem Smolyakov spoke about the progress of the youth team's training.
"We have already analyzed the opponent, and the application shows that they have radically changed the composition compared to the players who were called up for the last training camp. It will be a completely different team, but probably with the same playing conditions as before. We really need the support of our fans. We will do our best twice as much on the field to please the spectators who will come to cheer for us. We have set ourselves a very high standard and we must keep it. Our goal is only victory," said Oleg Fedor.
"Our players are in very good condition, but we should not underestimate the Serbs. They have a lot of new players, but despite their youth, they already play in the top leagues of various championships. Therefore, we need to prepare one hundred percent. We are looking forward to seeing our fans, because we play for them. It's nice when the stadium is full. We only need a victory, because we want to reach the Euros," added Artem Smolyakov.
