Belgium and Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has spoken about increasing the number of matches.

"I think the problem will arise when we have the Club World Cup. There are three weeks between the World Cup final and the Premier League match. You have three weeks to rest and prepare for 80 games next season. Maybe this year everything will be fine, but next year it will be problematic.

The PFA (Professional Footballers' Association) and other players' associations in other countries have tried to find a solution. But the problem is that UEFA and FIFA are adding new matches. We can try to say something, but we haven't found a solution. They don't care, their money speaks for them," Onze Mondial quoted de Bruyne as saying.
