Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri has spoken about this year's Ballon d'Or.
"After winning the Euros, I said I would like to see a Spanish player win the Ballon d'Or. Spanish football deserves it after all these years.
We had the best period in our history, but we didn't win the Ballon d'Or because there were two beasts, Cristiano and Messi. It's hard to say that these guys didn't deserve the Ballon d'Or because they were really the best. Now we have fantastic players and we are playing the best football. Spain deserves this recognition," Rodri told Mundo Deportivo.
