Albania midfielder Kristjan Aslani commented on his team's victory over Ukraine (2:1) in yesterday's match of the 1st round of the 2024/25 Nations League.
"It's an away win over a team that plays very good soccer. We have had many matches without wins and we are happy to finally get this result before a tough game against Georgia on Tuesday.
We knew it would be difficult against Ukraine, but we tried to play our own soccer. We could have done better with the ball, but that goes into the background - the main thing is that we earned three points. We really needed this result today, so we are happy," Aslani said while speaking to the media after the match against Ukraine.
