Jozsef Szabo: "I'm ashamed and hurt... I can't move on from the match with Albania, so I won't watch the game with the Czech Rep

Former Dynamo and Ukraine coach Jozsef Szabo shared his thoughts on our national team's match against Albania (1-2) in the League of Nations.

- Jožef Jožefović, the Ukrainian national team lost to Albania for the first time in its history. What can you say about the match?

- I am ashamed and hurt for the game of the national team of Ukraine! I didn't sleep last night because of them! I went back and forth half the night, worried! I did not expect this.

I want to appeal to journalists and experts. There is no need to glorify our footballers and mold them into stars! Otherwise, if you listen, Sudakov is at Juventus. Where are they going? They still have to suckle at their mothers' breasts. They don't know how to play soccer - snotty little brats!

Yesterday in the first half, Tsygankov tried to stop a high ball, but it bounced off him a few meters. What a bouncer! And this is a footballer who plays in La Liga, what can we say about the rest.

- Why does our national team roll the ball over and not create dangerous chances?

- I don't understand what kind of football this is! Not a single shot on goal in the first half, not a single pass forward for the aggravation! As soon as they play forward, they immediately fail. What will happen next? As sad as it may sound, this is the level of our players now. Albania looked great compared to us.

- Is it Rebrov's fault?

- I won't get into Rebrov's business, because I don't know how the training process in the national team is organized now. I can only say that yesterday our players showed that they are still "milk". It will be difficult for them to move to Europe.

- Did the loss of Mudryk and Dovbyk greatly affect the national team's performance?

- No, it didn't. It would have been the same with them. What about Mudryk? Tell me, where is he? Mudryk has been at Chelsea for two years now, but he only plays on the bench. And Dovbyk was lucky at Girona because there were good, fast wingers who supplied him with passes. There is no such thing at Roma! Dovbyk will not play there. The Roman club will soon realize who they bought, because he cannot score without support from the flanks.

A central striker in modern football must move left, right, play on the spurts. Dovbyk can't even break away from his defender. He can only play in the middle due to his size and pass with one touch. I didn't see Dovbyk open up, receive, or make deceptive moves.

- In three days we play the Czech Republic. What do you expect from this match?

- I don't expect anything good. The Czech Republic is a better team than Albania, and they play at home. Let the players and coaching staff of the national team not think that I am criticizing. This is the pain of my heart. I played good football and coached. My team played on equal terms against France, Germany, Portugal, and now... I support football with all my heart, so I can express my opinion. I don't like the way our players are playing today.

I can't move on from the match with Albania, so I won't watch the game with the Czech Republic. I don't have the nerve!

- Do you think there will be a rotation in the match against the Czech Republic?

- I think Rebrov will change half the lineup. We are not physically strong enough to recover in two days.
