As previously reported, UEFA has appointed referees for the match of the 2nd round of the Nations League between Czech Republic and Ukraine, which will be held tomorrow in Prague. All referees represent Scotland, and the referee in the field will be John Beaton, who in his career has repeatedly worked at matches involving Ukrainian teams.
The 42-year-old Beaton is a very experienced referee: he has been officiating international matches for more than ten years, since 2012, and for all that time he has worked at 68 such matches (total at club level and at national team level in competitions of all age categories).
The Scotsman will serve the match with the Ukraine national team for the first time in his career, but this referee is very familiar with Ukrainian soccer at club level.
