Ukrainian goalkeeper of Real Madrid Andriy Lunin has decided on his immediate future.
According to Bernabeu Digital, the 25-year-old goalkeeper has made a final decision not to extend his contract with his current club to get the status of a free agent and leave for free to another team in the coming summer.
Lunin's current contract with Real Madrid runs until June 2025. Not so long ago, Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti notified the Ukrainian that in the season-2024/25 he will be the second goalkeeper of the team, and play will be Thibaut Courtois. Apparently, this prompted the goalkeeper to make a decision to "sit out" at Real Madrid until the summer and leave.
It should be noted that already in winter Lunin will have the right to sign a preliminary contract with any club.
