Czech Republic defender Vladimir Tsoufal tried to find explanations for his team's failure in Saturday's tournament game against Georgia (1:4) on the eve of today's match against Ukraine in the 2nd round of the Nations League.
"We analyzed what went wrong in the match with Georgia. It turned out that everything went wrong. But now we need to focus on the game with Ukraine.
I haven't experienced what I experienced after the match with Georgia for a long time. And, hopefully, I will never experience anything like that again. We had to explain a lot of things to each other in the team.
On Sunday we had an analysis of this match. We all realize that our game was a mess. We very superficially followed the coaches' instructions and easily fell into the Georgian traps. We played great for twenty minutes, then something happened, something broke, and everyone started doing what they wanted on the field.
Of course, we feel responsibility before the match with Ukraine. We will play not only for our coach, but also for the whole Czech Republic. If the whole country will be proud of us after the game, the coach will be proud of us. On Tuesday, we will do everything to show a diametrically different performance," Tsoufal said during the pre-match press conference.
