Former Chelsea coach Mauricio Pochettino has been appointed head coach of the US national team.
The 52-year-old Argentine will continue the work of Gregg Berhalter, who was fired after the team failed to overcome the group stage of the Copa America in the summer. Pochettino will prepare the US national team for the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
