Vyacheslav Fridman- What is the situation with the payment of debts to Dnipro-1 players and staff?
- The staff has been paid everything. The players have been paid a little bit - some have been paid, some are still owed. Not all the money has yet come to the club from the sale of players.
We also paid off the sponsoring companies that sponsored the team from December to May. The team did not fulfill the task set by the sponsors - 2-3 place. The money was lent to us, and we had to return it. It's not like the money came and went to the side, someone stole it, which is what I read in the press.
We had to pay off our sponsors, the entire team. With the players - someone was employed, someone has debts to someone.
- Who were these sponsors?
- Why do I need to name them? There were sponsors, football fans, our Dnipro and Kyiv companies. Perhaps if we had taken 2nd or 3rd place, they would have continued to sponsor us. But then they saw what was happening, that the team was running away, everyone wanted to leave.
So the fact that the money was withdrawn somewhere, everything that is written in the press is nonsense. The money was officially transferred to the club as a refundable aid. We had to return this money as one of the first things we had to do. If not for it, we could have collapsed in the winter.
