According to a source, the Sheffield United defender decided to end his career with the national team because of a conflict with the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Association, which suspended the player for refusing to attend the training camp. Ahmedhodžić was called up for the matches against Liechtenstein and Iceland, but the player was unable to attend due to personal reasons.
