Former head coach of the Czech Republic Karel Jarolim shared his impressions of the match of the 2nd round of the Nations League Czech Republic - Ukraine (3:2).
"The game that the Czech national team showed in the match against Ukraine is far from what we would like to see. There are many things we need to work on to make the team more compact and more confident. We defeated Ukraine only thanks to the belligerence and morale, and it is impossible to win constantly at the expense of this.
If we do not have a well-established system of play, under which the right players are clearly selected, we can not think about good results in the long term. Even the match with Georgia (1:4 - ed.) convinced me that we need to change something. So the winning result against Ukraine is not a reason for big celebrations. We need to work on the team so that it plays in a functioning system. Although, of course, in this game the Czech national team looked more balanced than it did against Georgia," Sport.cz quoted Jarolim as saying.
