The trial against eight doctors suspected of Diego Maradona's death has been postponed to March 2025, ESPN reports.
According to the source, the court granted the request of three of the eight doctors to postpone the trial in the case of negligent homicide of Diego Maradona. The trial was originally scheduled to take place in October 2024, but the date was postponed to March 11, 2025. The suspects face 8 to 25 years in prison.
Earlier, the Argentine prosecutor's office said that eight medical workers responsible for Maradona's health had been negligent in leaving him without help when the former footballer was in critical condition.
