The youth national team of Ukraine, which will take part in the qualifying round of Euro 2025 (U-19) in November, has completed a training camp in Switzerland. There, the blue and yellows held two sparring matches with local peers(2: 2 and 1: 2).

"I assess the training camp positively. In the matches with a strong opponent, we watched all the players we invited. In these matches, we saw our level, identified shortcomings, found out which positions we need to strengthen before the qualifying round of the European Championship. But in general, I was satisfied with the guys' attitude to work and the quality of the game in the two matches.

All the players received approximately the same game practice. I can't say which game I liked more, but our team had good chances to score when we had control of the ball. There were some problems, it concerns the standard positions near our goal, and during transitional moments, but all this can be corrected. First of all, we looked at the potential of our players.

At the October training camp, we will make some minor changes to the squad. If some players recover from injuries, we will call them to the national team camp. There are also a few more candidates I would like to see. However, the squad that will go to the Euro qualifiers has already been determined by 75-80 percent," Mykhaylenko said in a comment to the UAF official website upon his return to Ukraine.
