Viacheslav Fridman: "I'm surprised that no one picked up Dnipro-1 in difficult times"

The commercial director of Dnipro-1, Vyacheslav Fridman, told us whether the sports club continues to exist:

"Dnipro-1 still exists. The general director, several accountants, the HR department and so on are still working. Some of the staff has been retained because no decisions have been made on further actions and they will not be made this year.

I think that in March-April 2025, if we find funding and are able to pay off the debts that were accumulated in previous years of operation and caused transfer bans, we will continue to work. By the way, there are only $1.5-2 million in debts, which is not that much money for real investors, so I'm surprised that none of Dnipro's football fans have picked up the club in its difficult times. It was realistic to get a club playing in the UPL for 3-4 million dollars. Now we have to start from the Second League.

Again, for many players, the money comes in installments and will continue to come. For example, for Artem Dovbyk, we received the money within a week, such were the agreements, and now many transfers have not been fully paid, some payments are stretched until winter, some even until spring," Friedman said.
