Against the backdrop of the situation with Dnipro-1, which withdrew from the Ukrainian championship in the 2024/25 season just before the start of the tournament, the UAF Executive Committee at its meeting yesterday approved changes to the competition regulations in case of such force majeure.
During a meeting of the UAF Executive CommitteeNamely, the UAF Executive Committee made the following decision.
1. To approve amendments to the Regulations of the Ukrainian Football Championship among the teams of UPL clubs for the 2024/2025 season, namely, clause 10.6, part 10, article 5 in the following wording:
"10.6 In case of withdrawal of a team from the UPL competitions after the playoffs, but before the start of the new season, the following provisions apply:
10.6.1. The team that took 13th place in the final UPL standings and lost in the playoffs shall be eligible to participate in the UPL competitions;
10.6.2. If the team ranked 13th in the final UPL standings wins the playoffs, the team ranked 14th in the final UPL standings and losing the playoffs shall be eligible to participate in the UPL competitions;
10.6.3. If the teams ranked 13th and 14th in the final UPL standings win the playoffs, the team that finished third in the PFL First League competitions and lost in the playoffs for promotion to the UPL shall be eligible to participate in the UPL competitions. If the team that took third place in the PFL First League competition and lost in the playoffs for promotion to the UPL is unable to participate in the UPL competitions, the team that took fourth place in the PFL First League competition and lost in the playoffs for promotion to the UPL shall be eligible to participate.
2. To approve amendments to the Regulations of the Ukrainian Football Championship among the teams of UPL clubs of the 2024/2025 season, namely to add clauses 10.7 and 10.8 of Part 10 of Article 5 in the following wording:
"10.7. In the event of the withdrawal of two teams from the UPL competitions after the playoffs, but before the start of the new season, the teams that lost in the playoffs for the UPL will have the right to participate in the UPL competitions;
10.8. In the event of circumstances not provided for in these regulations, the decision on the composition of the UPL participants is made by the UAF Executive Committee.
