Yuriy Moroz: "The squad for the Euro qualifying round is almost complete"

The U-16/17 youth national team of Ukraine held a training camp from September 2 to September 11, during which it played two friendly matches - against Rukh U-19 (1-2) and Karpaty U-19 (1-3). The head coach of the blue and yellows Yuriy Moroz shared the results of this training camp with the UAF official website:

- "The coaching staff was satisfied with the work done. The guys tried to fulfill all the requirements. The only thing that left a negative aftertaste was the results in sparring matches. We conceded a lot of set pieces and free kicks.

However, we are very pleased that we managed to play such control matches. "Rukh and Karpaty are very strong, dynamic, solid teams. I want the players of the Ukrainian national team to be ready for endurance and speed in the Euro qualifiers. So these were informative sparring matches for us. The guys are aware of their mistakes, and they need to work on them to be fully prepared for the official matches. First of all, there are complaints about the concentration of attention at the goal.

In the past matches, I liked the team in the first halves. You could see the structural actions of the players on the football field, there were thoughts. But as soon as the team got a little tired, problems arose. However, I believe that we will eliminate these shortcomings.

As for the personnel issue for the Euro qualifiers, there will be only spot changes in the team. The squad is already 90-95 percent complete.
