Dynamo midfielder Vladyslav Kabayev commented on the victory over Zorya in the Ukrainian championship.
- What mood did the team return to Kyiv in?
- In a good mood, because we saw our wives and children. So we were all happy to get together at our base and continue preparing for the Ukrainian championship games.
- Why couldn't you open the scoring in this match for a long time?
- Everyone tunes in to Dynamo as much as possible. We faced Zorya, and this club wants to play in European competitions. And last year they played in the Conference League group. It was hard today, but we managed to put the opponent under pressure when they ran out of energy.
I can draw a parallel with the Ukrainian national team. All fans say and write that it should beat everyone. We always want to win, just give us time. Everything will happen. As for Dynamo, we have a result now, but we want more - to play even more confidently. We want to progress.
- Did you feel better after Buyalsky's goal?
- Of course it did. It was very hot in Kyiv for the fall. The lawn at our stadium is of decent quality, it is better than in Prague, where we recently played.
- Vlad, in a week you will play two more home matches - against Vorskla and Rukh. Is this a normal schedule?
- Yes, it is. It's important that we play at home and there will be no traveling. Because we were on the road all through July and August, and now, on the eve of the Europa League, we will at least be at home.
- On September 25, you will play a first-leg match against Lazio in Hamburg. What do you think of the Roman club?
- This is a worthy opponent. I want to prove myself at this level. Emotions will be completely different. It's important that Dynamo Kyiv can prove themselves on the international stage.
- Vlad, when you were 29, you played your first match for the Ukrainian national team. What are your first impressions of this important event for you?
- My emotions are certainly positive, because it was the first time I was in the location of the national team of Ukraine. Yes, we lost to Albanians and this is not the best result for our national team, it is understandable. It seems to me that I was not able to show my best - this is a fact. I hope that I will be able to deserve to be called up to the national team of the country with my performance at Dynamo.
- Mykhailo Mudryk plays in your position in the national team. Have you had any communication?
- Quite minimal, we hadn't met before. Myshko congratulated me because my wife had recently given birth to a daughter. Mudryk plays for Chelsea, and I hope everything goes well for him in England.
