Vitaliy Ponomaryov, head coach of Lviv's Rukh, was very dissatisfied with the quality of the Poltava stadium's turf, as he said after the Ukrainian championship match against Vorskla on Matchday 6 (0-0).
- The quality of the pitch played a role in this match, especially when Rukh started to play with a majority of men. In my opinion, you can't play Premier League matches on such a pitch. This is an elite division and the pitches must meet certain requirements and be of high quality. Footballers should not get injured because of a bad pitch! And Vorskla's player got injured in the first half and was replaced because of the terrible quality of the pitch. Our player was also injured for the same reasons," Ponomaryov was quoted as saying by Rukh's official website.
