An American rapper may become the new owner of Everton

American businessman John Textor, who is close to acquiring Everton Football Club, may involve the famous American rapper Jay-Z in this deal, The Sun reports.

According to the source, John Textor recently contacted potential investors, including the 54-year-old artist.

Earlier, Textor made progress in negotiations to buy Everton. In order for the deal to be finalized, Textor must sell the 45% stake in Crystal Palace that it currently owns. Otherwise, the acquisition of Everton shares will be impossible due to the current EPL rules. However, it is noted that even if the Eagles' shares are sold, Textor will need help in financing the deal for the Merseyside club.
