The Ethics and Fair Play Committee held lectures for Karpaty and Rukh

In order to raise awareness of the principles of fair play among players, coaches and staff of the main and youth teams, the UAF Ethics and Fair Play Committee will hold scheduled educational lectures for the national teams, as well as clubs of the Ukrainian Premier League and the Professional Football League of Ukraine in the 2024/2025 season.

Lectures have already been held for the U-17 national team, FC Karpaty (Lviv) for both the first and youth (U-19) teams, FC Rukh (Lviv) for the first team, Rukh-2 and Rukh U-19, Bilka-Kulykiv FC, and for players and staff of Skala (Stryi).

These events promote the development of a culture of integrity in football and provide a better understanding of the importance of compliance with the Code of Ethics and Fair Play. During the events, examples of high-profile cases of unethical behavior in football and their consequences were presented. They also discussed the cases of match-fixing, which leads to disqualification of clubs, players and referees and loss of trust of fans.

The events also featured the Fair Play Assistant chatbot, which allows all football-related individuals to report possible violations of the code and to learn about Ukrainian legislation governing the fight against influence (manipulation) of the results of sports competitions. This tool will be a useful resource for players and clubs, helping to raise awareness and compliance with ethical standards in sports.
