Famous Ukrainian boxer and footballer of the Zhytomyr-based Polesya FC Oleksandr Usik was arrested at Krakow airport yesterday. A video of the athlete with handcuffs on and Polish law enforcers next to him has appeared online.
The circumstances of Usik's detention are being clarified, but as of now he has already been released. This was reported by the boxer himself.
"I am free. There were some misunderstandings. I want to thank the Ukrainian delegation and the Ambassador of Ukraine in Poland.
I personally want to thank our President, who was very worried about it and personally solved this issue. Vladimir Alexandrovich, thank you personally.
Thank God for everything and glory to Ukraine! Everything is fine. I am free, there is no need to crown me," said Usik in the air of his Instagram account.
