Former AC Milan midfielder Zvonimir Boban criticized the club's management's decision to sell Sandro Tonali to Newcastle after the 1-3 defeat in the Champions League match against Liverpool.
"Rangers are not a six, but an eight. Loftus-Cheek is not a ten, but an eight. You can't think of a 4-3-3 with both of them in the lineup.
"Milan sold Tonali, their best Italian player, who was very attached to the club. It was a shame to see him leave Milan. Now these things have consequences.
At the time, Tonali turned down Juventus, who offered Brescia 42 million euros, and joined Milan: these are values that you should never lose," Boban was quoted as saying by Sky Sports Italia.
